Holly, your writing really touched me — there’s so much emotion and honesty in the way you express these thoughts. I don’t know what life looks like for you right now, but if you ever find yourself going through something difficult, I hope you’ll remember that your life has real value, and that what you’re doing here — turning your feelings into art — already proves that. Even when it’s hard to see from the middle of it, there’s real meaning in what you create.
We can’t always control what happens to us, but we can choose how to respond. However heavy things may feel — now or later — your voice and your life still matter. Keep creating, keep moving forward, and give yourself time to rest and recharge when you need it; you’re doing something beautiful.
"Is love just a diagnosis of exclusion that relies more on the absence of darkness rather than the presence of light?"This right here hit a spot and brought back memories.
A beautiful piece of work and definitely one I'll be reading over and over again.
I appreciate the care with which you wrote about the tension of being human...not boiling it down to black and white thinking to fix something...but instead staying in the tension of the mystery! Well done Holly! I look forward to reading more
This poem holds the tension of the almost with such precision. Lines like “your vague tongue is the liminal gray” and “pertinent negatives” stayed with me—the way silence becomes active, shaping what is felt even when nothing is said. There’s a patience here in staying with ambiguity rather than resolving it, and that gives the piece its ache and its beauty. Thank you for trusting that space.

Hey Dennis…thank you. And thanks very much for reading.
SO NICE. Thank you. Took me 25 recordings because of interruptions and my dog so I really appreciate this.
